I saw this on the news recently. Some people bricked up a bank door in protest about how rubbish banks are. Imagine arriving at work or going to the bank and finding it bricked up.
I went to the bank today to extend my student overdraft to a graduate overdraft, because im preeeetty skint at the moment as my job can only offer me about 25 hours a week at the moment. ANYWAY, they wouldn’t extend my overdraft because apparently I don’t earn enough…which is pointless because if I did earn enough I would be needing to extend my overdraft. In my most rational moments I understand why, as they want to see I can pay it back…but being mostly irrational I have half a mind to take my banking business elsewhere…if i wasn’t so overdrawn already…
The hilarious thing is that if it had been a credit card I was asking about they’d practically be trying to force it on me, regardless of my current bank balance and earnings. Irresponsible lending at its best.
